Mustard shows up in vast expanses all over southern
California in the spring, and lasts well into summer.

Mustard greens can be used in salad or cooked
vegetable dishes.  The flowers make a beautiful and tasty
addition to green salads, and can also be baked into bread.

These pages are intended to be an aid to learning about wild edibles -- but cannot substitute for the essential training one needs to get from a knowledgeable guide.

The ONLY "thumbrule" worth knowing:
Know your plants!
"When in doubt, do without!"
